This unit works just like most of the other reviews state. The one thing I wanted emphasize was that the receiver is designed and shaped to fit above your mounting bracket with the fan already in place. So with the fan in the mounting bracket, slide the receiver in the bracket above the fan, flat side up. The projection on the downside of the receiver marries up with your bracket. Itβs a crazy tight fit and may not fit on your particular model ceiling fan, but definitely try to position it before you wire it. It should save you some time as I spent a good amount trying to shove it under the shroud which would just not fit.

My old remote was broken. Somehow, the connection where I attached the battery was broken. I had to get a new one. Upon receiving this new remote, after putting in the battery, all I had to do was changing the dip settings to match those of my old one and that’s it! It worked!!!

The remote from our Harbor breeze fan no longer worked and we could not find a replacement for just the remote. It wasn’t too hard to replace the receiver component as well as the remote and the instructions and everything were as expected and the size of the receiver fit perfectly. The product was delivered overnight amazingly.

The leads to power could have been an inch or two longer. The unit was probably 2 out of 4 for difficulty to install. Mainly because you have to take the entire fan apart and put back up.

I bought this product to replace a ceiling fan remote and receiver that had stopped working. The wiring and installation of the receiver was easy because the color coding and labels on each wire matched my prior Harbor Breeze unit. The receiver was the same size and shape as the prior unit and fit easily in the ceiling fan canopy.
