   Wanted solar lights for my newly finished back yard. The screws that would hold the stick attachment on were not long enough to actually work so i put them in the trash.

   I like these spot lights partly because they are solar, and I don’t have to worry about batteries. They are bright and really light up the dark spots around my house. They’re versatile in installation as I can either stake them in the soil, or attach them to the house (they come with screws etc.). I even zip tied one to a metal post. There’s 10 in the box, so lots of options for placement. I’ve only had them for a week, so I’m not sure how long they’ll last.

   Immediately fell in love with this 10 pack set of outdoor solar spot lights! They came in a set of ten, disassembled pieces, with each light consisting of three separate pieces that snap together in an easy manner.The placement of each spotlight turned out to be a cinch, since the ground was already moist and there was plenty of yard space in which to situate each light. I even ended up using some planting pots to give the lights better elevation off the ground and they turned out really cute.I plan to give the lights several days in their current positions, before determining if they need to be moved to accumulate more light. Which brings us to another feature that I love about these lights! The fact that they come equipped with mounting hardware, so that they can quite literally be placed anywhere you need them. It’s a great feature that every solar spot light should have. Also, the fact that they have three different settings of bright, brighter and brightest offers the owner the option of all three, depending on preference.My one and only complaint so far is that the entire bottom half of the light is composed completely of plastic. A hard plastic mind you, but plastic, nonetheless. It will be interesting to find out how well they hold up in the elements of both the coming winter as well as the sweltering summers, which can be quite brutal.I’m really fond of my new solar spotlights and look forward to using them for a long time to keep my property well lit and feeling more secure in those hard to see areas.The price tag of $80 seems a bit steep, but depending on their reliability, they just might be worth the money spent.

   These were very well packaged with understandable instructions. Each light came with a two-piece pole/stake to put them upright in the ground and a set of screws for mounting to a flat surface.The lights appear well-designed and I didn’t see any manufacturing issues with any of them. They each have a button on the back that cycles through off and three levels of brightness. In my pictures of our back stairs, one picture is on the low light setting and the other on high. Low is bright enough that I have all 10 set to low in our yard.Putting them together was simple. I was concerned that I might not get much light at night due to it being November in New England with lots of overcast days, short days, and not lots of direct sun. Despite this, almost all of them, even those getting no direct sunlight, still provide a few hours in the evening. One I have mounted on our porch, that gets the most direct light all day long, has lasted all through the night multiple times; 10 hours at least and still giving off light before sunrise.For about $8 per light for the 10 pack, this is a really good deal. I’ve only had them up for a few weeks, but haven’t found anything yet that is a drawback other than what follows… My main concern is how long they will last overall, as the batteries are not replaceable. This means, once the batteries finally stop holding a decent charge, there is no option but to throw these lights away. I understand this probably allows for the light to be more weather/winter proof, but does make them yet another product whose only destiny is the landfill. For that reason, I deducted one star overall since this is a horrible design choice as far as the environment is concerned.Other than that, these are great, give off a lot of light at night, and are easy to set up.
