You can only adjust to basic colors with Alexa. Cannot adjust to a theme or custom theme with Alexa dot. Also, could not connect with music on echo devices…you’re apparently supposed to play music on your phone and sync to light. I don’t know if that means the Tuya app for the light “listens” to your music app or “everything”, including what other sounds in your environment(like your voice)…Overall, it is a nice light. I would have preferred that I be able to control it with echo than to use the app everytime I need to adjust for evening.

This is for the “3.backlit rgb 2400lm” version. This allows control with Alexa or Google. I got this light fixture for a Laundry Room renovation. It does a very nice job of illuminating the 12’x8′ room. It provides about 250lux (24FC) if you are interested…yes, I’m a lighting designer and have a light meter:)This light fixture is so nice with the CCT & color change options, I might move it to the Den or Bedroom or Kitchen. Really, it’s too fun of a light fixture for a utilitarian space like a laundry:)Not that I concern myself with such things:) But used in the Bedroom you could vary the CCT to see what your cloths/hair/makeup look like during the day (6000K) vs. an evening out (3000K).Note the main down light lens is CCT continuously variable, the backlight/ceiling light is color change. These are two separate light sources, and they are controllable separately. Just wanted to mention that incase you were expecting the main downlight lens to be color change also. However, there is a version of the light that does have full color change on down-light lens side.The light fixture instructions suggest the “Tuya Smart” app, I use the “Smart Life” app for my current smart lights. This fixture sync’d up with no issue with the Smart Life app, but I’m sure the Tuya Smart app would work fine. Most of these app are the same “engine” with slightly different user interfaces, so most WI-FI based apps should work.It has a lot of features for settings, schedules, scenes, etc. available thru the Smart Life or Tuya app. Some of the more advanced features are a little odd, but you can figure them out. Unfortunately there is not a lot of documentation for the features, so it’s “try and learn” process.One feature in particular…Scheduling CCT changes for the bottom & color changes for the up-light doesn’t seem to work properly, it will just go to the last color that was selected when the timed color change event triggers. That is a flaw in the programming code, but not enough of an issue to not the get this fixture.

The ight is made of flimsy plastic and i thought I was going to break the base when I was installing it. I was really worried I got a really crappy light that was not going to work but I was wrong. The light blinks like a strobe light and I freaked out because one of my children gets seizures. I think they really need to change that because it’s dangerous! After install the light works great! It’s easy to use and control with Google homeUpdate. Light is ok but after comparing to other lights in the space it’s not all that great. It has 2 lights and you can only control one with Google home. It has limited support witch makes it a pain to have to use 2 different apps to control my lights.

Easy to install.Works as intended however if you set the the color temperature you want when turn the light on again the color changes. It’s a cheap light but it works for the price. The night light is pretty bright though.

Nice and bright and easy to install. I put one where I had a hole in the ceiling where I planned to attach a ceiling fan, but the fan would interfere with items on a shelf. I moved the fan and then had a big hole. I also needed more light in the area. Installed this light and the low “5%” mode is a great night light in the area and I removed another night light I had to light up the area (a sconce lamp with a 60W equivalent LED bubl). This is even brighter and in a better location to light up the whole area. When I need more light in my work area-BOOM it’s like a sunny day brightness. Love remote controls.

Wonderful replacement. As you can see we replaced a light in a stairwell. The previous light was a hazard to change the bulbs on and it had been acting up. We wanted something we didnβt want to have to change and this can be controlled with Alexa or the app from the company. It has great choices for light brightness and my kids love the color changing feature. We loved it so much we bought a second and plan on buying 2 more.

My teen got this light for his room and it was incredibly easy for him to install. It’s only a couple of inches deep but gives of a decent amount of light. The grandbabies love sitting and watching all the colors change.
