Ordering a small bed side lamp seems like it should be anything but simple, and it was with this lamp. It base is small enough to fit on the small shelf we have on the bedside table. The switch is large enough to find even in absolute darkness. The shade….. I ordered what I thought would be idle for a bed side table. What I got was something doesn’t even attempt to give some shade from the light bulb. I have tried it with a number of different bulbs varying in watts to see if there is a noticeable difference… The answer, no. I suggest if you’re going to get this go with the darker lighting shade. If your going to use it for something like a living room light then its perfect. If its going in your bedroom as a reading light or just something to turn on to go to the bathroom at night, get a dark shade. It is just as bright as my ceiling light regardless of the bulb I put in. I would buy this light again if needed though.

I was sooooo skeptical about buying these as it seems toooo cheap but looked soooo nice. I took the chance after seeing some reviews and photos, and it was honestly so worth it. These little lamps are so chic and modern looking but still have the minimalist feel. They aren’t as bright as bigger lamps but they are bright ENOUGH. Def worth purchasing.

This lamp is nothing fancy. But it has a nice look and is reasonably well made.The only thing I would say is that it might look better if the shade was a little more yellow/orange. I don’t know if they used a colored bulb in the photo, but with a soft white bulb the shade definitely looks more white than it does in the photo.For $14, I’m certainly not going to complain though.

This lamp small, simple, and works great. Only concerns are…1. If you get one with a light colored shade, it really shows the bright light a lot and lights up the room considerably. You should either get a darker shade and/or lower output bulb in if you like things on the darker side.2. To assemble the lamp, you have to reach into far into the shade and tighten down a large plastic ring that goes over the framework of the shade. If you have large hands like I do, it can be a little tough to get your hand in there, so if anyone in your family has smaller hands it might be better to let them put it together. Even with my large hands, I was done in about 1 minute.Otherwise, great lamp and I am buying another with a darker shade for sure.

It was very easy to assemble, and I thought it was an excellent value for the money. I put a 60 W bulb in there and it is perfect. I like the switch on the cord because I hung so that I could easy reach so I could just roll over to turn off light after getting into bed.

I really love these little lamps I picked up. They’re super-cheap, practically zero assembly, and make no mistake they’re extremely basic construction and materials, which is obvious if you inspect them. But from any distance, they look pretty sophisticated actually and fit in well with a modern, simplistic look that makes them look almost designer. And if you throw a bright white LED (like the Amazon Basic model, e.g.) it generates a surprising amount of light, much more than the old-school lights you might have had on your nightstand. Definitely recommended.

Does what it needs to. Was a bit difficult to get retaining ring and light bulb in place, but that’s probably because I have big hands and you have to reach down into the shade from the top so you can’t see what you’re doing.

I was bamboozled when trying to turn the light on, searching for a switch on the lamp itself, but it turns out it was on the cord XD I like these, I hope you do too. I am satisfied with this purchase
