   Our old remote died on our 10-year-old Hampton Bay fan. We were hoping it was the remote and not the circuits in the fan. Bought this remote and it works great! So glad we don’t have to buy a new fan.

   We just bought a condo with a Hampton Bay fan, and the existing remote could turn the light and fan on but could not turn them off. I was afraid we’d have to call an electrician to fix the problem but ordered this remote as a last ditch effort. Miraculously, it worked and we can now use the fan as intended! Make sure the dip switches inside the remote are all facing the same way as they are in your old remote so it uses a frequency the fan can recognize.

   This was a great purchase! It’s exactly like the one that came with my fan, and it worked perfectly right out of the package. Note: Make sure that the dip switches inside the remote match the position of the dip switches in your old remote. I didn’t have to change anything, but some other people have said they did.
