I am using this light to illuminate a small closet in a spare bedroom we are using as a home office. Prior to installing the light it was a challenge to find some particular item because the closet was so dark, even with the opposite wall window shades open.I mounted this light on the ceiling as close to the door frame as possible to still allow changing batteries. This gives the light output a little “splay” over the shelves in the closet. I used the included wall anchors & screws rather than the sticky tape that was also included. It only took about five more minutes to properly mount the light using only a Yankee push drill, a tap hammer and an electric screwdriver to mount the plate rather than stick the plate. Much easier to remove if that becomes necessary. The motion detection works very well. The light goes off after about 20 seconds when the door is closed or I walk away from the closet doorway. I suspect I will only use the light 3-4 times per week with only perhaps 30 seconds of “on time” so I don’t foresee any major battery usage issue. The only slightly confusing thing is the “remote” which is not actually a remote…it is a BRIGHTNESS control. The two top buttons are labeled HIGH and MED (obvious Brightness controls) but the third button has a Power Button icon. That button actually functions as a “LOW” brightness rather than On/Off. That’s the only reason for just 4 starts. Otherwise, this is a solid little ceiling light for a small closet that is pretty much dumb-proof if you install it properly. Very happy with my purchase! Easily recommend for similar use.

Pros: Bright light, even in open shower. Description says “water resistant”. Wish me luck. Easy to install. Has 3M adhesive or screws.Cons: To function unit must detect dark AND motion. So it does not work in my open shower which has some ambient light. However, I trick the unit by placing a wash rag over it for a moment, then whip it off. Voila! And the light stays on as long as there is motion.PS Attached is how I mounted the light on the bottom of my shower mirror to give me more light to shave.

Great light, easy to charge but have to charge often and somewhat difficult to reattach if it is up high

If you buy this item be prepared to buy a lot of double AA batteries. If you donโt want to go this rout, but a charger and 8!doule Aa batteries so when they go down you can replace them with the oneโs that have been recharged v

The light sensor is overactive and cycles too often.

The lights are perfect bright picks up on motion without any hesitation the only thing is the light doesnโt stay on if you chose to do that I wish they would add that part of it I know itโs a motion light but I also would like to be able to keep it on as long as I was in there where I need the light

I just purchased a third of these lights after I realized that the two that I installed two years ago are still working perfectly, even without putting in new batteries. They have stuck to the original surface, and they are still as bright as the day that I installed them. They are exposed to the weather in upstate New York which means: wind, snow, rain, heat everything and works like I just installed them yesterday.

I use it under a kitchen exhaust hood over my induction cooktop. Also lights up for me when I wander in the dark kitchen looking for TV snacks.Very bright, so it runs through batteries pretty quickly. No problem if you have rechargeable batteries and charger.
