I got this so that I could fix a light switch in our kitchen. Well, imagine my surprise, when I find out that the plate is meant to have the screws on a clear, plastic backplate, and the faceplate clips to that.Well, it was a nice surprise, as it gives that light switch a clean look that is also easy to wipe off without dirt around the screws.It wasn’t perfect to install, but that was because of the piece behind it, when I was trying to drive in the bottom screw. As it is, I paired this with a standard flat switch & made quick work of the project to replace a broken switch for the first time. Aside from some trouble for a novice, this was pretty easy, and I’d recommend it for anyone looking to update or replace a switch’s face plate.

Odd that this has 4 holes for screws and only comes with 2 screws. So I installed the 2 screws, one on top and one on bottom and it doesnโt sit flush, but lopsided. If the unit came with 4 screws, it would mount so much better. No idea why it only came with two mounting screws. Looks horrible. Not worth the money. Iโll have to go to HD or one of the other big box stores and buy one that is packaged better. Frustrating to say the least.

I got these in 2 hours after ordering. I don’t know if i would have been able to drive to the store and back to pick up these decora plates. These are simple screw on plates not the snap on, I still prefer screws instead of little plastic tabs, so I think these were great.
