I chose this light because it has a steel body instead of aluminum. That said, it is pretty thin steel but much better than aluminum. The design is good because the lens is well retained. Installation for me was not straight forward. This light is made to be installed on a electrical box. My wiring just pops out of the sheet rock ceiling, so I had to put in some sheet rock anchors to mount the light and reroute the wiring to all internal to the fixture so it would mount flush to the ceiling. It is relatively light weight, so the sheet rock will support it no problem. My wife loves the bright light. I have yet to patch the ceiling holes from the old light, but the light is so bright no one wants to look up there anyway. 🙂

This is a very bright light and comes on Al most instantly. I would highly recommend.

These are nice lights easy to install but they do not come with a plug you have to buy plugs and wire them yourself!

I purchased this as a replacement for my 20+ fixture over my kitchen sink It was very easy to install and has the perfect brightness for the area.

I didn’t want to spend a fortune replacing my 25 year-old florescent kitchen light fixture or the antiquated bulbs it used so I purchased this.I was really disappointed when I opened the package to find it didn’t even come with bulbs! Then I mentally caught up to 2022 and realized it uses two rows of strip LEDs (duh). I didn’t trust it would even be as bright as the old dual tube flo light so I rigged a power cord, plugged it in and turned it on. Ten minutes later, when I could see again, I mounted it up in the existing wooden box housing with the diffused screen to the existing wiring.I watched my girlfriend hit the switch when she got home…loved her reaction, “OMG, I can SEE!!”Sealed it. Buy this!

Wife likes it, which means I love it. We put it up in a laundry room, where the existing Fluorescent was prone to not firing off. This replacement is actually brighter than the 2 tube fluor had been. It is rather poorly packaged, but we were lucky enough that it arrived without any damage.

the fixture was not given any forthought of installation. it has pre punch holes that dont match existing electrical ceiling boxes, which means the rotation of fixture on the ceiling cannot be installed correctly. the biggest problem being the LED strip was in the center of fixture from end to end so access to existing box bar bracket was unable as holes could not be drilled. a cross bar fixture bracket needed to be provided with fixture. even this helped with roatation to correctly install fixture. this left the fixture leaning because of weight again the led light strip mounted in center of fixture. hole need to be drilled to accomodate installation. so this fixture is not for the uninformed installer.
