First of all, I would say I really like the clip on design. It saves a lot of space when the desk lamp was clipped on the side of the desk. I found the metal clamp was able to attach the lamp very tight. The desk lamp feels very sturdy. The top tubing is very flexible, I can adjust the lamp’s height and angle very easily. Another good feature I like a lot is I can adjust the brightness of the lamp. However, there is one part I don’t like is the desk lamp’s power cable is not hidden inside the tubes. Instead, it uses three cheap clips to attach the wire on the tubes. Personally, I think the power cable makes this desk lamp not aesthetically pleasing.

I just put this lamp together & started using it already at my computer desk. The 16″ lamp head connects to a flexible section by means of a hose ball that fits into the back of the lamp head piece. A cap that screws holds this connection securely in place. Both sections are then screwed into the 3rd section that has the screw clamp used to hold lamp wherever you choose. Since the cord travels down from the top lamp head to beyond the desk clamp, they provide 3 clips & 2 straps to let you secure the cord to the lamp sections. This puts the control button where you can get to it easily for adjusting lighting. I absolutely love that this is a USB powered lamp….one less electrical outlet to worry about. I use a CPU so perfect. The flexible piece attached to the lamp head is great. I was able to arch it over my work area perfectly. The lamp has what I’d hope it would…the almost 16″ long light gives me a wide range of light vs a spot light or ambient light effect. I do a lot of detail work so having my entire work area lit is perfect.The controls give you the option of a warm or white light plus the ability to increase or decrease brightness. I’ve never had a lamp that allowed me to adjust this way. I design and/or knit patterns requiring graph paper and the need to count individual stitches & rows with precision. That’s usually a task I dread because of the lighting it requires but I set the lamp to white light earlier & tested it with a pattern I’m designing now & I was so pleased that finally, I had the good light I need for that kind of precision work.As for appearance….my work/CPU area is modern: pewter & glass, so the clean, black, minimalist design of this lamp looks right at home. Another plus is that without having a large base sitting on my glass desk & taking up much needed room, this lamp only uses a 2″ x 1.5″ sized clip top of space & is tall enough to keep lighting intense but above everything on my desk. My entire work area is drenched with light thanks to the wide light piece at the top. All pluses as far as I’m concerned. It feels well made & pieces fit into each other easily. It’s not a heavy lamp so easy to put wherever I may need it. I can see myself moving it temporarily to use while spinning yarns & calculating yardage, examining yarn twist, etc. at my dining room table. Eye strain is often a problem with this kind of work.Overall, I’ve only set it up today and am already enjoying it….in fact, it’s the light I’m using to write my review for you. 🙂 Everyone has different needs but I have to say this light, it’s design, its lighting width, its being USB powered (its in a 3.0 USB slot on my CPU) & its ability to adjust in so many ways has checked all the boxes I had for what I need. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. I hope this review helps someone else make the decision whether this innovative lamp fits their need as well. Thank you.

I think it’s a well-made lamp. The control buttons for brightness and temp colors have a nice tactile click to them. The goose-neck arm and ball-joint pivot point are solid and will hold their place once adjusted. The clamp seems rather thin, but it does a good enough job to hold the lamp in place. I would rather have the controls fixed to the base of the lamp rather than on the power cord as it is difficult to reach for my personal application. The lamp is also advertised as being 1200 lumens, but I bought another similar lamp in 1000 lumens for comparison’s sake and it seems less bright than that. Because of this I will be going with the other brighter lamp for my specific needs.

I was excited to finally be able to light my work area without shadows. Unfortunately, despite my careful measurement, this didn’t work out for me. It has nothing to do with the light itself. It just didn’t reach high enough and arch far enough over to clear my monitor and light my work area from above. It’s primarily because my desk is large and it just doesn’t reach from the edge, up, and then over my monitor. And since it just barely extends over the monitor, that means is sits right above my camera, making my video image cloudy. I love the light it puts out. Wish I could use it!(I would post photos, but I can’t do it directly from my phone and it’s a hassle otherwise. Sorry.)

I wanted to light up my record player when I spin that wax. Setting up the lamp was easy but finding a place to attach it was moderately hard as the stand didn’t have enough lip to stay on. This isn’t the manufacturer’s fault at all. Once that was figured out, it turned out great! 8.7/10 would recommend.
