I was just looking for a replacement for the Lutron 4 gang wall plate that I ordered from Amazon that I cracked during installation. I had the double dimmer switches actually tighten too much, which is dumb mistake. I know better than that and with a 4 gang wall plate, one has to have some play in the tightness of the switches so that the wall plate can secure properly. Anyway in my hast, I ordered this one which is very nice upgrade to the wall plate that exposes all eight screws when the plate is installed. With other plate I actually lost one of the eight required screws, and had to buy a new one gang plate cover just to get a new screw. I also have a bad habit of over driving the screws which ends up scarring the painted head. With the standard wall plate, the screw heads are exposed. With this new plate, the plastic covers up everything, so no more screw heads are exposed with chipped paint or screws from different wall covers that are painted with different shades of white or beige. Wow, with this wall plate not only are the screws engineered to not come out of the plate, but also the screw heads are hidden by the classy cover. I don’t mind that there is an indention between the front and back plate.I am going to change out all my switch covers to this style, even though it is a little pricey. I am glad I made the mistake when ordering. Sometimes a mistake turns out to be really good.

This review is for the “stainless steel” version. The wall plate is available in 8 colors to match or complement any dΓ©cor. It was installed in a 4-gang switch box as the final matching wall plate in our house and has made a substantial improvement in the look of the room.If you have never owned this type of plate here are some tips:1. It is a two-piece wall plate with a backer plate that mounts over the switches AFTER you install them. There is an ingenious design in which the screws of each switch can be accessed after you install the backer plate to level it flush with the plate. This is especially important and desirable for switch boxes with 2 or more switches, and critical for a 4-gang box.2. The front plate snaps over the backer plate and is held in place with tiny plastic tabs. Being a two-piece design there will be a tiny seam between the two. It appears some people hate that and others (me include) think it makes the wall plate more high-tech looking.3. Snapping the front plate on is easy, removing it is very difficult to the point it feels like you are going to break the plastic. You won’t. Here’s a secret … slide the narrow end of a credit card in the seam along the top and pull it toward you. Once the first tab or two releases the rest will release easily.4. While this product is described as “durable stainless steel” it is not. It is plastic with a finish that has the appearance of stainless steel. It is not metallic. And it is a fingerprint magnet, be prepared to give it a wipe-down once a day with a damp cloth.5. Because of its design there are absolutely no screws or other fasteners showing. It is noticeably more attractive than standard wall plates. The product illustration for this wall plate is very accurate; it looks exactly like the product itself. I’m not sure why someone would order it knowing that and then call it ugly. With a choice of 8 colors and an extremely clean simple design its attractiveness is 100% in the eye and mind of the person who buys it. We have actually had guests point it out when visiting and ask where we got them as they give the room a very professionally decorated look.Good product, overpriced for a couple of pieces of plastic. Final score 4-stars.

Expensive compared to other brands, but I guess you get to charge more when the product is far and away the best. No comparison to other switch plates. These are the best. Covers a pico remote well. Removal of the cover plate is difficult; it feels like you’re going to tear it into pieces, but don’t worry about it, I’ve never broken one. Just rip away.

Re-outfitted my entire home with Lutron outlets, switches, and faceplates. You can really tell the difference in quality between Lutron and other brands. They might be more expensive, but the solid feel and quality of materials makes them totally worth it.

These are the best looking rocker plates out there, honestly. High quality. Clean lines. Biggest complaint is that they’re expensive. #fjb

it improves the look of every room. but you know its a $2 or $3 product. its a plastic faceplate. but you spend $100 to do a few rooms. crazy. but it provides the look you want. its kinda difficult to release the plate. as other reviewers have stated: it feels like you are gonna crack it or very least scratch it.
