   It’s a pull chain, not much else to say other than it’s convenient to be able to cut it to the length you want without waste.

   I live in a prewar apartment and many of the lights require pull-strings instead of switches. When I first moved here, my dad used trusty Boy Scout knots to attach rope to the chains that were already there, but over time they have deteriorated. This chain is an excellent substitute; cut the length you want (with a good pair of shears, my scissors were too weak), snap the last ball from the existing chain into one of the connectors, snap the first ball from your new chain into the other end of the connector, and you’re good to go. Two months in and no issues!

   Don’t give the big box stores the satisfaction of ripping you off. The same price for a tenth of the length? Not to mention 2$ for 2 connectors! Beyond Pathetic. No issues with mine! Has, (and still does) survive some very aggressive pulling of a 14 (6.5kg) lump of a cat. (who sprints across the house when he hears me get the chain out) If you think you’ll be putting much more weight on it than that you should rest assured it should hold probably to 30 lbs or more.

   Works great so far. Used this to extend chains for a fan on a high ceiling. So far it is great. Made the pull chains reachable. Easy to install and have held up so far after a few months of light use. Would recommend

   why do they sent 10 couplers for 10′ of chain but you get no little bell ends for the very end of it. So now I have 9 extra couplers but still have to go get the little bell ends crazy
