Ceiling fans are never fun, thankfully they are now being designed for individuals with normal strength and only 2 arms to install by themselves. If you are installing in a new house, then you can make sure boxes are right size, boxes are well tied in and of course enough wire is pulled through. In the house we presently own, I am starting to believe the electrician had tiny fingers or was buying the wire out of his own pocket- every single outlet has just a couple of inches of wire in the box, all the bathroom fans and ceiling fans are run with a single hot let, and donβt even get me started about the circuits zig zagging around the house. Why does that with these fans – simple, the remote receiver. I spent more time trying to plan for the placement of the receiver than I did on wiring the fan. So contending with remote receiver would be enough in unlimited space, but if you are using the included down rod, there is less than a hand width. But, if your original electrician only used 14-2 wire, then the remote is your friend.I bought 3 of these fans, one was a dud – still waiting to hear what will be the remedy but even though activating the fan switch sends power to the fan motor – nothing moves. So while the remote is my friend it also doesnβt have any dimming functions – having used TP-Link smart bulbs forever, I am now reduced to not having the ability to adjust my lights which feels like a big step backward- who knows maybe I should have turned getting ceiling fans into a drywall and electrical project too. One day I will hit the house, but not today. The fan is great looking, I like the bubble in the glass – and anything is better than my 90βs ceiling fans with the individual sculptured glass bulb covers. I like the color choices of the paddles, too. The flat black is also great a finish. So my review is mixed, I like the fan, the remote offers some control, but gives up control too, but more than anything I wish there was an extra inch in the upper housing. Also be warned if these fans are to be installed on an exposed, structural beam you are taking a simple electrical project to a more advanced project.

Edit: After reaching out to the company they worked with me on trying to get it fixed. I was was able to get the lights to work again by skipping the wiring to the remote pack but the clicking didn’t go away so they actually sent me a new unit. So far the new one works perfectly and I realized I prefer skipping the remote pack so the lights have their own switch and turn on instantly. Went from never wanting to purchase anything from this company to strongly considering them next time I need a fan, light, ETC.I do like the look of the fan and it seemed good at the beginning but quickly went downhill. The remote is a nice feature in theory but is actually kind of a pain for high use areas because there is a slight delay from when you flip the switch to when the lights actually come on (only about a second but still noticeable) and this fan only uses one switch so if you are used to having separate switches for the lights and fan it can take some getting used to. I have a similar Honeywell fan with a remote in our living room and we actually really like it there but we aren’t turning those lights on and off a ton. But this new one in our bedroom where we do turn the lights on and off a more often when walking in and out of the room. Even though the remote can take some getting used to it’s not a deal breaker. What our issue is that after about a month of using the fan (usually on high but only overnight) it started making a clicking noise which is very annoying when you’re trying to sleep but it started to get worse over the course of a week then finally it stopped working all together. I looked at the wiring and got the fan part to work again but now our lights don’t work. If I could return this I would.

This fan looks and works great. It is very quiet and all of the remote buttons work great as well. The downside and the only reason this item loses 1 star is because this fan is an absolute pain to install. The remote sensor that goes inside the fan BARELY fits inside the housing along with the wires and if I didn’t go an check previous comments for this fan on how to get it to fit, I probably would have returned the fan. The wiring/remote sensor housing, the part that anchors to the ceiling and hold all of the wires/sensor for the remote, is entirely to small. The direction do not say at all how to get everything to fit inside. The only way to get everything to fit is to put the remote sensor above the bracket (you’ll know what I am talking about when you see it) and the directions to not specify this anywhere. Overall, the install directions for this fan are subpar at best but after it is installed, the fan is great.

It was ok for the price. Aesthetically, pretty. Remote is nice, hasn;t given me any issues yet. Comprable to the pricing you get at Home Depo or Lowes. I wanted the delivery (win) and I liked that this one gave me the option to two colors because you can flip the blades. Hope it lasts. Oh yeah, installation was a trip. You need two people, there’s no way I could’ve done it by myself. The assembly is simple but requires four hands.

This fan is beautiful! A huge pain to put up but worth it. Super disappointed that the glass was cracked. Would still recommend this fan to anyone because even though it was difficult to put together, due to the transmitter, it looks great and we are mostly happy with it.

I bought this for a patio cover and while I’m not sure anymore whether it was rated for outside use it’s been almost a year and the blades have not sagged. We live where it gets over 100* for days in the summer and heat is the enemy of fan blades (sagging). You can always flip the blades if they start to sag, but like I said, it hasn’t been an issue. The fan/lite is attractive and the price was in budget. Some fans are crazy expensive that don’t look as good as this one. The remote works just fine and we have had no problems. I would buy it again. Good luck!
