This fan is great. I now have two of this model that replaced an older model that I’ve had some issues with. This model seems to have addressed many of the issues I’ve discovered with the model it replaced. They are fairly simple to install. Since I had a Hunter fan in place before it was much easier than a brand new install. I simply pulled off the old fan and used the old hardware that was exactly the same (albeit a different color). The shroud and baseplate were exactly the same size. I like that this model has five blades rather than 4 and I will say they are whisper quiet. I can’t even hear them when they are on. I did not have to balance the blades on either fan and they move air very well. Also when they say “flush mount” they actually mean it. The shroud sits almost right next to the ceiling so it looks nice and clean. These seem to be a little more sturdy than the model it replaced.I will say that dealing with Hunter’s customer service for the old fan was…annoying. They would NOT replace the motor even though it was bad. They insisted on sending me a new switch. I had three of these fans and I changed out every part between all three fans. Guess what part was the one consistent part that didn’t work? You got it…the motor. So they send me out a switch. Then when I tell them “That didn’t fix the problem” well they said they had to send me a SECOND switch because the first switch might be bad as well because they sit on the shelf and can go bad so it’s their policy to send a second switch. *eye twitch* Don’t you people test these things before you box them up or before you send them to people? Now I’m no electrical engineer…but unless you store these things at the bottom of the ocean inside the maw of a kraken I figure they’re going to work even if they sit on a shelf for three or four years. I finally just called them and said “Well the motor started making this horrible squealing noise and gets very hot if I try to turn it on.” They finally had to send me THIS model as a replacement because they old model was no longer being built or sold. They then asked me to chop the wires off the old motor and mail it to them. Bully to you, Hunter Fans. Enjoy your busted motor. I also sent them back the replacement switch…because I may have had to lie to get them to send me the correct part but I am no thief. Also I don’t want a switch that’s been sitting inside a kraken I’m allergic to shellfish.Good fans, semi-annoying customer service.

We bought this fan for my daughter’s “new” house. The old fan lost it’s blades. We have had a Hunter Fan for 25 years, and it was old when we bought our old house. There is NO substitute for quality. All parts were great for installation….the fan was smarter than us, but following directions to the letter made a successful installation. Hunter is the best.

I was very impressed with the fan and ease of installation. The only trick for me is that I needed to replace my current ceiling electrical box with another that was rated for 75#s but I easily purchased a a Westinghouse Lighting Saf-T-Brace that had the correct rating and was easy to install to allow the fan to go into place. Once the brace was in place, everything else went together withing minutes. As an aside the fan is so quiet it is difficult to know it is operating without looking directly at it.

This is a nice fan, easy to install. The description says the base is burnished bronze but it is more black than bronze. Fan is very quiet and does the job in a 12×12 room.

Had this fan up about two years. Humming sound from motor is difficult to live with.

First time fan installer, did it without my husband in an hour. Just read the instructions carefully and it’s so incredibly simple.Very quiet, I’m not sure why others had issuesSleek, super low profile for low ceilingsBlades are beautifulEasier than installing a light fixture for sureOne note: the first step to mount the bracket, I ended up using the locking screws to mount to the ceiling box as they are the only clear option. apparently they are needed further along in the process, so I had to find similar ones in my house. No big deal but the second pair was definitely needed vs what they were asking for.

Nice and quiet.

This was the most low profile fan I could find anywhere, it is dead quiet, and balances perfectly. Great for the money.
