   The original transformer for this string of Christmas lights sort of exploded on the inside (we bought the string just last year). The replacement showed up much sooner than originally estimated, and is working perfectly!

   A potential buyer should know that each time you turn on the lights you have to reset the mode you want. No matter which mode was in selected before, when the lights are turned on again this controller starts at the beginning which is “combination” mode. This means if you want something other than combination mode you will need to manual reset each time the lights are turned on. If you are using this for Christmas (or other decorative) lights that are on a timer to go off and on a certain time each day, this may problematic for you. I gave it a 3 star as a compromise. If I knew about this issue I would not have purchased it, but construction wise it works as expected

   We have a Christmas tree with the LED lights pre-installed. It was working great until our dog chewed up the power cord and power supply. Bought this as it matched the Voltage on the back of our chewed up power supply. Plugged it all back in with this new replacement and it worked great. Even picked up some cool new light options like flickering and others.

   My light string went dark suddenly and I found the reason to be the power supply by switching that one with a functional unit. Quick switch and voila! Lights back on.

   I bought this to replace the light module that came with my Christmas lights. When powered off the other module would not come back on in its previous state. So I would come home to lights going crazy. This module remembers the last state(haven’t really tested this function) as the light come back on in solid mode which is what I wanted instead of some random ass crazy flashing.

   Ordered lights that had 8 modes but apparently no memory and reset every time they turned off. Ordered these and with the memory function, they worked perfectly
