   I was a bit skeptical before ordering these – and rightfully so. I previously ordered 3x 150W deformable lights from another brand and they got HOT!! I mean so hot I burnt my hand and smelled something starting to burn. They went straight back to Amazon and unfortunately, so will these.I was pretty confident in ordering these based on other reviews, but after receiving 6 of them for my garage (YES 6!) I was left disappointed. I previously had just 2 of the TriBurst from Bell & Howell (the “As Seen on TV” brand), and was extremely pleased with their color temp, heat, and light output. I removed 1 TriBurst and replaced it with this and side by side there was no comparison, these were maybe 50% of the output.Well, I was installing 6 of them though so I continued on with a few more – stepped back and these were no brighter than the “100W equivalent” Cree bulbs I had before. So, I started unscrewing them and putting them back in their boxes when I realized the big “Heatsink” around them was ice cold and turns out they’re actually plastic!!As an electrical engineer, there are 2 things I can tell you about the lifespan of LED’s – they MUST RUN COOL in order to last!! The big things that will kill an LED in no time are either too much current (but current is needed to produce more light) and HEAT! If the heat has nowhere to go, these won’t last very long! I could be wrong, maybe they reduced the current to the individual LEDs so they don’t get hot, but based on their claims of wattage and number of LEDs, I don’t think that is the case. I hope I’m wrong though for everyone that owns these.I would not recommend these to a friend, and the ones I ordered will be returned. I guess you get what you pay for, so I’ll just fork over a bit more and buy more from Bell & Howell or LZHome has some that look very promising with an oversized *Aluminum* heatsink.Update: Added a star because of a very fast reply and honest explanation from the manufacturer! These may just in fact be driven at a low enough current that the plastic housing doesn’t matter. Unfortunately for me, these are not actually 6000 Lumens (verified with a very expensive meter) and I need something much brighter. I really wish they had a brighter version with adequate cooling – something I’ve only found from 1 other company so far, high hopes on another.

   These lights are FANTASTIC.The garage at my house had 3 lighting issues:- Poorly lit with 60W incandescent bulbs- The light socket on the garage door opener no longer worked, causing me to be in the dark when I pulled in at night- I would constantly forget to turn the lights off in the garage since the switch was in the houseI was able to solve all three issues by pairing these lights with a motion activated light socket https://amazon.com/gp/product/B08CRJZ16S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1With the motion detection feature, the lights now come on whenever I pull in with my car or walk into the garage. And when I leave, they will turn off after several minutes.And most importantly, they are extremely bright! I have two hanging in my garage and I would compare the light intensity to having skylights in the garage. I no longer need to bring supplemental light in to illuminate the dark corners.

   I bought a set before this one which was so bright it was difficult to see. This one is perfectly right sized for our smallish 2 car garage. We have it switched to the warmest color setting which is way less harsh in the eyes

   Gave them to friend. Found they can’t be used on a porch because ? water could blow in on them.Can’t find any LED Lights like this rated for outside use at least IP65 which can be placed in direct rain.
