Overall, these are really slick lights. Very well-built. Fairly simple to install, though we had to cut a significantly larger hole in our ceiling to replace the light that was there. Somewhat expected though when replacing older lights. One downside is that there is no rubber or plastic grommets to place around the metal hole going into the controller box to protect the wires. That would’ve been nice, but not a deal breaker. It was really nice though that these lights come with the quick connectors for the wiring and you don’t have to deal with annoying wire nuts.Another tricky part of the installation process is that you have to be spot on when cutting the hole for this light because there is hardly any leeway for mistake as there’s less than half an inch of the light edge that covers the hole. So you may want to invest in a drywall hole saw to install these lights. The little spring levers that hold the light up are good and strong. And like most LED lights this has multiple brightness and warmth settings so we were able to match up this light perfectly with our other lights. To turn on the nightlight feature, make sure you don’t cycle your light switch too quickly. At first I tried rapidly flipping the switch on, off, on but the nightlight didn’t come on. When I tried slower though with a brief pause between the off and the second on, it came on just fine. Just a timing trick to get figured out.

Great quality light however the rubber seal is cheap loose and flimsy.

These are amazing lights. They work perfect for our movie/basement and provide a ton of light. I love how you can change the kelvins and the ring thing is pretty amazing too. Definitely get these!! You won’t regret it.

I love these lights! I pulled four old recessed can lights out and replaced them with these in about two hours one night. I’m no electrician or contractor but I am pretty handy. However, these were just easy and simple. They came with the quick connects for wiring, which aren’t near as hard as the normal wiring nuts. I know some electricians don’t like them, but they worked perfectly right away and I feel like for a DIYer I got a better more consistent connection than I might have with the wire nuts. I did not have to cut the drywall since they fit in the hole from the canned lights. There is a template included with each light to make the cut if needed. The lights have spring loaded tabs that “clamp”down from the backside of the drywall to secure the lights once they are wired up. Speaking of which there is a little box which has to be mounted somewhere, your wiring is tucked inside and then the light plugs into that. The light color switch is on that box but it’s pretty small so you don’t need to worry about space really.Once they were installed they came on no problem and our smart dimmers worked flawlessly. There is no buzzing and no flickering. The halo light comes on in sync as long as you don’t rush it, and you can dim that as well. We have Feit Electric “Smart” dimmers that we bought at Costco and they work great but they did buzz with the previous “dimmable” LED bulbs that were in the recessed lights. That may have been the bulbs or the wiring but the bulbs kept burning out so it was time for a change. So overall, I can’t be happier. These are a phenomenal value at $184.99 when we ordered them.Pros:- plenty bright- color choice flexibility- easy to install- everything you need to install- nice looking- great light dispersionCons:- I cannot think of oneO

These lights are amazing! I absolutely love them! I’m so glad they cMe in a 12 pack. I needed 6 to replace some old cans, but ended up cutting 4 new holes and adding a circuit for the extras. They were super easy to replace the old recessed cans. Alittle more difficult to add in as new. You may need an electrician for that. The night light feature makes the house looks very sleek at night. Definitely install these with a dimmer, they are REALLY bright on full mode. Also, if they ever go out you DO have to change the whole light, but the fixture is setup to VERY easily change just the lighting part. You will not need an electrician to change these once they’re installed. One final note, I also purchased some 6″ rings called “goof” rings. The original recessed cans were exactly 6″ and the holes were not cut perfectly so the goof rings covered all the previous installers mistakes, plus the rings give the lights a nice uniform border which I also really love!
