These lights were a perfect replacement for the prior generation of halogen (50 Watts each) canned ceiling lamps with the added benefit of sealing the chimney aspect of ceiling can lights (loss of room heat through the open, uncapped cans.) The ability to select your preferred color (2700 to 5000 Kelvin) is ideal, and removing these new lights to make adjustments was straight-forward. A flat head screw driver easily compresses the metal spring tab which might be stuck on the can’s bottom metal ridge. A redesign of the metal tabs could improve the ability to remove a light.

The good:Very very very bright. Wow, are these bright. Works well with a dimmer.Easy to install.The selectable color temperature is a great idea and works well.The I’m not sure:Very deep recess and pronounced baffles, so they look like the 20 year old fixtures I am replacing. Really not sure I like that.The not good at all: the fixtures were packed loose in a large box, they all rubbed against each other, and they all have abrasions on them. A new product shouldn’t look worn before you even install it.

We are changing out all our recessed to be LED, and these are very easy to DIY. The soft white is a great color, that is not as crazy bright as most LED lights.

Bought the 12 pack during Black Friday. Changed out all the recessed 2700k warm light to these 5k daylight. Loves the bright daylight in the kitchen and bathrooms. No longer the gloomy feel from the 2700k darker lighting. At about $4.50 each, it is cheaper than changing the old CFL bulbs.

Very easy to replace. Dont need to be handy at all. Changed the burned out bulbs in less then a minute. Illuminates beautifully. Just make sure you buy the color you like.
